Photography Courses




We are pleased to announce that Barbara's Travel Photography will offer in co-operation with the



two photography courses from January 2010 onwards.


The venue will be the Wildlife Heritage Foundation in Smarden, where participants will have the chance to practise what they have learnt on subjects like a Sumatran Tiger or the rarest cat in the world, the Amur Leopard.

Course 1 is
Photography for Beginners
This course is aimed at people, who would like to learn the basics about the technical aspects of photography, like what are aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and how do these work? (Beginner's level)

There will be plenty of opportunity to practise what you have learnt.

The course will start at 10.00am and finish at 4.00pm during the winter months. The price is £120 per person on weekdays and £150 per person on weekend days.

Besides the tuition and the practical exercises, the fee covers also the lunch on the day.

Course 2 is
Wildlife Photography
This is a two-day course, which is aimed at people, who would like to learn how to use their camera more effectively when taking photos of wildlife. (Beginner's to Intermediate level)

On this course participants will have even more time to practise their newly acquired skills, and will also have more chance to get feedback on the photos, they take during the course.

On both days the course will start at 10.00am and finish at 4.00pm during the winter months. The price is £250 per person on weekdays and £300 per person on weekend days.

This fee includes also the lunch on both days.

In order to make the course most beneficial to all participants, we apply a maximum number of 6 people per course.
