My name is Barbara Meyer and I live in Kent, near London (England). I was born in Hamburg, Germany, but have lived for the last 14 years in the South-East of England.

Photography started for me through travelling to countries around the world. It started off more in a way of capturing impressions from these journeys. Since I got some good feedback in particular in view of the composition of my photos, my interest in photography grew more and more.

Photography was for me never to evidence that I was there, but more about what attracted my eyes and what I would like to show people about the landscape and wildlife. This is still the main criterion in photography for me today.

In 2008 I took steps to move professionally into photography. I hope, I will be able to make this a success, not only in the sense of doing a job, I enjoy doing, but also in view of the work, I am doing in cooperation with wildlife conservation.
